“Our mission is to promote and spread the cultural and qualitative value of Italian embroidery in Italy and around the world, through the promotion of a manufacturing sector so rich in cultural elements,’ says Assoricamatori Vice President Elio Orlando. In Italy we have a very long tradition of craftsmanship in the field of embroidery and decoration, but this does not make us nostalgic: Italian embroidery factories are also synonymous with innovation, experimentation, technology and enlightened entrepreneurship”.
Assoricamatori aims to promote and develop the embroidery professions among the new generations, also by collaborating with the main training institutes. The association also keeps a watchful eye on the new challenges of the global market, striving to provide its member companies with effective support to overcome them and turn them into opportunities through direct connections with partners and specialised professionals.
“The world of embroidery is not only a cultural value, but also an important production sector for the made in Italy, a real feather in the cap,” continues president Stefano Pucci. “This is why we believe an official association is needed, which brings together all the Italian embroidery manufacturers who share the same vision of quality, tradition and innovation, translated into a Code of Ethics. Only through a common goal can we properly valorise this priceless heritage of manufacturing companies, which translates into jobs and specialised knowledge”.
The launch is an opportunity to broaden the membership base, inviting all Italian embroidery manufacturers of excellence to join the Association. Choosing an embroidery factory among those of Assoricamatori means in fact guaranteeing its products a unique added value, made of excellence, creativity and tradition.
